Quote by shoujoboyYour reviews always amaze me in that they seem to go far deeper than many reviewers ever care to. Usually people have a very cut and dry description of the show with their own two cents added in finally followed up by a score. You tend to really hash out the details and lets the readers know a lot about what they might be getting into should they decide to take the plunge into the series. Again I'm reminded I have a long way to go to match your masterful word usage.

This, from the most famous reviewer in Minitokyo.

And this view is with me, also.

Good job.

f

Downgrading this anime, mio, is like grading Evangelion or Lain or Bebop as rubbish.

Which is, in turn, committing a weird hara-kiri.

And you, dear Pod, did just that.

Thy condolences.

f

The anime stinks. That's just 'bout it.

f

Yu-Gi-Oh! is quite good, but is marred by the less-than-fantastic art (even the 90's had high-quality anime with outstanding art), and the absurd - ach, mein Gott! - dubbing.

Yu-Gi-Oh! GX sucks. Plain and simple.

f

One of the worst anime I've ever watched...

I felt like a blind man following another when I finished this.

f

Is this a review?

More like North Korean propaganda!

f

Ah, wonders.

Hakusho's not one of my favorites, but definitely a worthwhile watch, away from the over-commercialized, oversaturated anime prowling TV screens nowadays, like the world's plague.

f

The damned highs of being a high-school teacher in Japan...!

Well, anyway, what you typed here is the shortest review I've read so far in this website - as well as one of the most exacting I've ever read, here in Minitokyo, or elsewhere.

As for the anime, I remember watching Onizuka back in 2004, and I was like jumping all over, especially at the first opening - sung by L'Arc-en-Ciel, I believe. So riotous, the anime...

Great review.

f

One of the great anime of the early 90's...

... and, I'd like to point out that no other sports-oriented anime after Slam Dunk got such prestige as this one.

Slam Dunk.

f

Alchemist, while good enough in anyone's book, isn't that great, to merit such a high score.

Try 8.

REPETITIONREPETITIONREPETITIONREPETITIONREP(...) ADNAUSEAMADNAUSEAMADNAUSEAMADNAUSEAMADNAUSE(...)

is what pretty kills this story, if it could be called one.

It's such an irony that this anime's from Wellthink.

They didn't think.

Could have been rated lower, around 4.5.

f

Eh? A review?

More like a brochure!

f

I've an advice for you:

Change your style when writing reviews.

I agree with you that Bleach stinks -

but tone it down.

There are nicer, gentler, and less bloodcurdling ways to say what you want to say, without being too subjective or too rude.

f

I loved Ranma 1/2.

I hate this.

for me it would be a 5 ^^

Agreed, except for the rating. Should be rock-bottom, at least.

Quote by beyondmeasureDrown Takahashi and this anime with her.

Inu-Yasha never comes close to even worthy for... what? 9.8?

If I were you, I would have given it a 2.5 rating. All the action becomes repetitive - Inu-Yasha always on the hunt for Naraku, while Naraku sends out minions to destroy Inu-Yasha, Inu-Yasha destroys minions... RINSE, RAPE, REPEAT.

Can't agree with you more. Same old Naruka-sent-a-minion-getting-killed-by-IY crap over a million times. I gave it 3~4 only for how Sunrise saved this junk miraculously.

Couldn't agree more.

Quote by shoujoboyI'd echo the sentiments that have been stated above. Just a bit more detail would have been nice. But judging the body of work as it is, I'd have to say damn fine job. A review should sound similiar in nature to the property being reviewed. Based on what you have written, the show is light, simple and just fun to watch. Your review was able to portray that feeling very well and helped the overall impact of it. I will say after reading this review, this show has shot up the "to watch" list. Your presentation portion made gave me visions of Marimite in that there isn't a lot of plot, but instead we get character development and true attachment to characters. That type of thing draws me like a moth to a flame.

If the King of Reviews descends here, like a moth to a flame, that must mean something, no?

f

LOL @ shoujoboy - for what?

It is original. I'm fine with that - we don't see a lot of originality these days, this world we live in.

However, I find this anime very boring, very commercial, and very lousy in plot.

In other words, hopelessly mediocre.

I'd categorize this series as "having seconds of greatness", dear sir jakulito.

The sheer originality of the series might turn heads by 10 degrees. But freshness? Not much.

f

Trash.

Deserves lower rating.

f

Ah - a true pure gust of wind, Hachimitsu...

One of the best anime of this decade...

f

Quote by nashph41But the anime have a great song

Crap the song.

The opening and ending were horribly mutilated.

Going back to the blasted anime... that blasted anime!

That blasted anime only showed CLAMP's wonderful art.

Nothing more!

f

The manga is great.

The anime sucks.

f

Since when did I last see a reviewer scoring 2 on an anime?

Oh, yes, right... when I first joined Minitokyo, hah!

Problem with your critique on Love Hina is, you simply blabbered yourself to death with your own personal opinion.

f

Just watched the movie (for the seventh time, yeah!).

An outstanding review there, david! Hats off to you!

f

A horrible, terrible, and stinking-as-heck anime - my memories of that anime known as Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles (I still have nightmares about the damned anime - help!).

Well, despite the bias you have against TRC (anybody, faced with a calamity of TRC's scale, would slip on some points), I still give you an applause for reviewing the CLAMP's waterloo in the first place.

f

I'll call this an infamous review of an infamous masterpiece...

... or not.

To put it in the simplest manner possible, you made an outstanding review of this anime.

To express anything more would do great injustice to this great series...

for it's not made to shine, to be great.
